On the night of August 28, 1979, a Virginia truck driver named Harry Joe Turner fired eight hollow-point rounds at something on a dark mountain highway, and the bullets passed straight through. He woke up four hours later with 114 gallons of fuel gone, his body permanently altered, and a warning from beings who said they'd watched their own world end.
