About Still Unexplained Podcast
Some mysteries do not fade with time.
They stay with us. They raise new questions. They challenge what we think we understand about history, human behavior, and the limits of explanation.
Still Unexplained: Brief Explorations of Unsolved Mysteries is a storytelling podcast built around those kinds of cases.
Each episode takes a focused, narrative approach to a single mystery. Some are rooted in history. Some are tied to unsolved crimes. Others sit in that strange space where science, psychology, and the unknown begin to overlap. The goal is not to rush to a conclusion. It is to explore the facts, examine multiple perspectives, and give the mystery room to breathe.
Because sometimes the most compelling part of a story is not the answer. It is the tension between what we know and what we cannot fully explain.
What You Can Expect
Episodes are designed to be clear, engaging, and thoughtful.
You will hear:
- Structured storytelling that is easy to follow and grounded in real events
- A balanced look at theories, including official explanations, skeptical viewpoints, and more unusual possibilities when relevant
- A calm, conversational tone that respects both the subject and the listener
- A consistent format that makes each episode easy to settle into
From well-known cases like The Phoenix Lights and The Circleville Letters to lesser-known stories like The Rafael Pacheco Pérez Incident and The Jigsaw Skeleton, each episode is meant to leave you informed, curious, and still thinking after it ends.
Behind the Show
Still Unexplained is created and hosted by Mark Evanoff.
This is a solo project, built from a genuine interest in mysteries that do not resolve cleanly. Each episode begins with research and a simple question: what actually happened here, and why does it still matter?
The process is straightforward but intentional. Gather the most reliable information available. Build a clear narrative. Explore the strongest competing explanations. And then step back and allow the listener to think.
There is no rush to force an answer. There is value in exploring the unknown with honesty and curiosity.
The Mission
There are many shows that try to explain everything.
This one does not.
Still Unexplained is for listeners who enjoy asking better questions, thinking through different possibilities, and engaging with stories that are not easily resolved.
It is about curiosity, not certainty.
It is about exploration, not conclusions.
Because not every mystery needs to be solved to be worth understanding.
